The driver of this minivan, which was travelling eastbound on Main Avenue just past the hotel late on the morning of Tuesday, May 30, failed to navigate safely into the left lane to get around the Town of Sundre’s street sweeper. Police said the sweeper was kicking up a cloud of dust that impaired the passing motorist’s visibility. No one was injured as a result of the crash, and traffic was temporarily reduced to the two westbound lanes until the scene was cleared. Neither speed nor impairment by drugs or alcohol were suspected to be factors in the read-end collision, said police.
