SUNDRE — The final lesson of four in a boys' skateboarding clinic recently wrapped up, with participants fine-tuning the basics they had learned and developed.

The courses in Sundre followed up on a girls’ clinic that was offered earlier this summer.

The programs for boys and girls – which were each broken down into two age groups of 5-9 and 10-15 – were put on in partnership between Ride N Glide adventure rentals owner Katie Jo Munro and the Greenwood Neighbourhood Place Society with support from Stephen Pietsch, skateboard instructor as well as Sundre High School math and science teacher.

The first of the boys' four lessons had been in the Sundre Curling Club prior to heading out to the skatepark.

Munro hopes to once again offer the clinics next year.
