I am writing this to offer my heartfelt apology to Ms. Lisa Nicholson, volunteers and board of the Hope 4 MVC Kids organization for my words that were published in the article Nearly $8,000 disbursed among four Sundre groups.
It was not my intent to disrespect or call into question the incredible benefit that this organization brings into the entire community.
As a councillor, it is my role to bring forward concerns from the community about the grant request. However, in this situation I should have chosen my words more carefully.
