OLDS - Crowds gathered in town on Nov. 19 and Nov. 20 for numerous events marking the kickoff to the Christmas season.

On the Friday, shoppers took part in Midnight Madness. Olds Christmas Angels Society was out drumming up support for this year's campaign and Santa even made a stop outside the Boys and Girls Club of Olds.

The Santa Claus Parade of Lights wound its way through the streets of Olds on the Saturday evening.

Kids could stop at various stations to receive gifts and crafts during the Winter Wonderland Walk Through at the Cow Palace Event Centre also on the Saturday evening. They could also have a socially-distanced picture taken with Santa.
