OLDS — RCMP are asking for help to locate a suspect in an Olds garage break-and-enter.

Just before 2 a.m. on Jan. 26, an Olds homeowner saw a light on in their detached garage in the Hawthorne area of Olds.

When they opened the door, they saw a male trying to remove things from the garage, said police in a news release issued today (Jan. 26).

At that moment, “the suspect then threw one of the items he was holding at the homeowner and fled the scene empty-handed down the alley,” the RCMP news release says.

The suspect appeared to be in his mid 30s, stood about five-feet, nine-inches tall and was described as having a “body-builder” build, police said.

He had blonde hair which was shaved at the side of his head and he had a blonde spike in the middle.

He was wearing sweat pants and a black sweater with white lettering on it.

Anyone with information on this incident or who can identify the suspect, is asked to call Olds RCMP at 403-556-3324 or contact their local police.

Tipsters wanting to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the P3 Tips app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.
