Hit and run in Olds remains under investigation

Olds RCMP are asking for your help to solve an alleged hit and run that occurred some time overnight Nov. 8 on 57th Avenue near 53rd Street in Olds.

OLDS — RCMP are asking for your help to help solve a suspected hit-and-run incident.

Police say the collision occurred overnight Nov. 8 on 57th Avenue near 53rd Street in Olds.

“The owner of a white Ford Explorer reported that his unoccupied vehicle was struck when it was parked on the street. The force of the impact pushed the SUV onto the curb,” a news release says.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2005 to 2007 Ford Escape.

It’s expected to have “significant front end damage,” RCMP say. A damaged black honeycomb-style grill for that model of vehicle was located at the scene.
