Officials are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a detached garage and van parked nearby, as well as some surrounding structures on Hawthorn Way in Olds Sunday night.
Firefighters got the call at 7:11 p.m. Sunday.
“Upon arrival, fire crews encountered a fully-involved structure with a parked van next to the garage involved as well,” a fire department news release says. “Olds fire department quickly had the fire knocked down and under control.”
Fire officials say some surrounding structures suffered “minor radiant heat damage.”
At the time of the news release on Monday, an estimate on the dollar value of the damage to property and contents was unavailable.
