Calgary motorist headed to court

A 32-year-old Calgary man is headed to Didsbury court on April 4 following a single-vehicle collision about 32 kilometres east of Olds early in the morning on Feb. 19.

RCMP responded to a call just prior to 3 a.m., when they located the red 2005 Dodge Dakota. Upon further investigation, it was determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. As a result, the man was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and driving while over .08 causing bodily harm.

Youth headed to court

A 17-year-old Cochrane male is headed to Didsbury court as a result of an incident on Feb. 19. RCMP stopped the youth after receiving reports that the grey Nissan truck he was driving was swerving on the road in a residential area of Olds. A short time after receiving the call, RCMP located the truck and determined the driver was intoxicated. He is facing one charge of impaired operation of a motor vehicle and one charge of driving while over .08.

The youth will be appearing on April 4.
