4-H hands-on learning session held

4-H members learn the ropes during a hands-on session at the UFA Farm and Ranch Store in Olds.

This season's hands-on learning sessions for 4-H members wrapped up March 31 with a session at the UFA Olds Farm and Ranch Store.

Participants learned how to make a rope halter, lead rope for their 4-H projects and how to stay safe on the farm, among other things.

They also learned about PID (premise identification) and about medicine labels.

“Building halters and the sheep presentation,” were the highlights for one 4-H youth.

Sessions will resume this September when the new 4-H season begins.
