MOUNTAIN VIEW COUNTY - Outgoing Mountain View County director of corporate services Robert Beaupertuis had important impacts on the running of the municipality over the past five years, says reeve Bruce Beattie.
Beaupertuis took part in his final council meeting last week. He has resigned from his position with the municipality and is returning to his native Newfoundland.
“We recognize the great work he has done since 2015,” said Beattie. “He brought a lot of changes to the way we do budgets and I think he made things a lot more understandable for both council and the public.
“He was very interested in national and international monetary issues. Sometimes you think those are not going to affect the county, but often they can. He was a great addition to our staff.”
Councillors thanked Beaupertuis for his service during the Dec. 9 council meeting.
