OLDS — The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour, sponsored by Cam Clark Ford, is coming back to Olds.

A total of 108 of the top junior golfers, basically from across the province, are expected to play in the tournament, which will be held June 27 and 28 at the Olds Golf Club.

“Should be a great event,” Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour director of marketing and administration Elaine Denton wrote in an email.

Before the tournament begins, there’s a chance for youth who’ve never played the game to get some free instruction this Sunday, June 26.

The clinic offers two sessions of free instruction for kids from 6 to 12 years of age, provided by golf professionals.

One session runs from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The other runs from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

There’s a limit of 48 participants. Slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

A registration form is available on the Maple Leaf Junior Golf tour website. Send in the form by email to Trina at oldsreception@camclarkford.com or call 403-556-3301.
