Eight Olds High School athletes qualified for provincial competition at a zones track meet in Calgary on May 28.
Morgan Lynch qualified after coming in second in the junior girls triple jump; Shaelyn Moritz came first in the intermediate girls pole vault; Alex Groves came first in the senior girls pole vault; Nicole Schultz came first in the junior girls pole vault; Carson Jorgensen came second in the senior boys 3,000-metre race; Brodie Dirk came first in the junior boys 100- and 200-metre races; Cale Brown came second in the junior boys 800-metre race and Tanner Pochapsky came second in the intermediate boys 200-metre race.
The provincial competition will take place in Calgary on June 7.
