Alberta recruits join OC women's volleyball team

OLDS — Two Alberta residents have joined the Olds College Broncos women’s volleyball team for the 2021-22 season.

They are Madison Macaulay of Claresholm and Alicia O'Keefe of Strathmore.

Macaulay, a setter, stands 5 feet 6 inches.

While in high school in Claresholm, she won a long string of awards and accolades.

Macaulay was named the West Winds League MVP and senior high school female athlete of the year in 2019-20.

She also made the West Winds all-star team and was named MVP and senior high school female athlete of the year in 2018-19. 

While at Willow Creek Composite, Macaulay also played with the Ace Volleyball Club during the 2019-20 season.

In addition to her career at Strathmore High School, O'Keefe played with U18 Ace of Spades Volleyball Club. 

The 5'10" middle/outside was U18 Ace of Spades MVP and obtained several gold and silver medals at various tournaments during the 2018-19 season.
