Mountain View Colts beat Wranglers in close match

DIDSBURY - The Mountain View Colts are off to a good start in 2022, defeating the Sylvan Lake Wranglers at the Didsbury Memorial Complex on Wednesday evening (Jan. 5).

The Colts got goals from Steven Bell (assist Ryan Bauer), Hayden Sotheran (assists Nate McNeely and Paton Rothenbusch), Wyatt Gelinas (unassisted) and Nate McNeely (unassisted) for the 4-3 win.

Colts netminder Chance Griffiths stopped 48 of 51 in the victory.

The Colts are currently in third place in the north division of the Heritage Junior B Hockey League, seven points behind first-place Cochrane and three points behind second-place Red Deer.

The Colts host the Cochrane Generals on Friday night.
