Didsbury historical society planning Culture Day events

Didsbury and District Historical Society is planning three Alberta Culture Days events.
DIDSBURY - Council has agreed to have the town provide a letter of support for a grant application being made by the Didsbury and District Historical Society.

The $10,000 application is being made through the Alberta Culture 2020 grant program. If successful, the money will be used to support three Alberta Culture Days events: Sept. 10 Hobbies for Health; Sept. 19 Indigenous Day of Art; and the Sept. 26 Settlers and Railroad event.

“All events for the three-day event have been planned around COVID-19 restrictions with social distancing and health protocols,” Rick Astle, president of the society said in a letter to council.

“We have tried to plan for all generations and hope there will be something for everyone. There will be storytelling, scarecrows, music, jam meeting, weaving, trains and much more.”
