Turner Valley RCMP request help finding missing senior who called 911 after falling from truck

Turner Valley RCMP are searching for 71-year-old Allan Bowman.
Turner Valley RCMP are searching for 71-year-old Allan Bowman, last believed to be in the area of Highway 22 and 466 Avenue West.

Police are asking for help to locate a missing elderly person who was last heard from on Jan. 4. 

RCMP said officers from the Turner Valley detachment were called, along with paramedics, at about 11:20 p.m. on Jan. 4 to help an elderly man who had fallen out of his truck. 

The male believed he was near his residence on Highway 22 near 466 Avenue West and described the location as a bush area. 

Officers arrived and began to search the area, were unable to locate the man, who is identified as 71-year-old Allan Bowman. 

Police say Bowman has a fair complexion and is 6-foot-2 and 240 pounds. They describe him as balding, with brown hair. 

Bowman is thought to be with his vehicle, a grey 2012 Ford F-150 with Alberta license plate BJD 922. Police say the vehicle might have a bull bar on the front. 

RCMP say extensive searches have been conducted in the area, including grid road searches with assistance from a Calgary Police Service helicopter and fire department drone operators.
