WHL Roundup: Cotton, Hurricanes comeback against Rebels, win 4-3 in overtime

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. — Justin Hall scored twice while Alex Cotton scored in overtime to give the Lethbridge Hurricanes a 4-3 win over the Red Deer Rebels in Lethbridge Saturday. 

The Hurricanes were down 3-1 partway through the second period after allowing three unanswered goals. But they scored twice to end the period tied at three goals apiece. 

Cotton needed 53 seconds to score the game-winning goal in overtime. Alex Thacker also scored for Lethbridge (2-2-0-0).

Jace Isley, Josh Tarzwell, and Ben King scored for Red Deer (1-3-2-0).

REGINA— Brandon Lisowsky scored twice to give the Saskatoon Blades a 4-2 win over the Swift Current Broncos. Kyle Crnkovic and Tristen Robins also scored for the Blades. Raphael Pelletier and Josh Davies scored for the Broncos.

REGINA— Jake Chiasson scored the game-winning goal in the second period of a 3-2 Brandon Wheat Kings win over the Winnipeg ICE. Brett Hyland and Braden Schneider also scored for Brandon. Conor Geekie and Jakin Smallwood scored for Winnipeg.

TIGERS 4 HITMEN 2

MEDICINE HAT, AB—Nick McCarry scored twice for Medicine Hat in a 4-2 win over the Calgary Hitmen Saturday. Eric Van Impe and Cole Clayton also scored for the Tigers. Josh Prokop and Zac Funk scored for the Hitmen.
